THE FORTIES FAMILY are a living history group who provide a 1940s living room for events around the country using late 30's and 40's collection of furniture and clothes/uniforms. The children and adults carry on quietly with their daily chores and lives as if in the 1940s while the public are welcome to watch and take photos. Operation Market Garden 2008
Operation Market Garden takes place over the weekend of 12-14 September 2008 at Spanhoe Airfield, nr Corby, Northants NN17 3AT in association with 315th TCG (Troop Carrier Group). The event is in honour of those people who fought during the Operation Market Garden campaign in Holland in September 1944.
